What I Treat
Trauma & PTSD
A safe, carefully paced space to process difficult experiences and reclaim your life.
What Is Trauma?
Trauma is the response to an overwhelming experience that exceeded your capacity to cope at the time. It doesn't always come from a single dramatic event. Trauma can also accumulate through repeated experiences of neglect, emotional unavailability, relational harm, or chronic stress.
What defines trauma is not the event itself, but the lasting impact it has on your nervous system, sense of safety, self-concept, and ability to connect with others.
Single-Incident Trauma
Accidents, natural disasters, assaults, medical emergencies, sudden loss. These are acutely overwhelming experiences that may have left lasting symptoms of PTSD.
Complex / Developmental Trauma
Childhood neglect or abuse, emotionally unavailable caregivers, relational harm, or growing up in an unstable or unsafe environment. These experiences shape the nervous system and sense of self over time.
My Trauma-Informed Approach
Trauma therapy requires extraordinary care, patience, and skill. I use a combination of Polyvagal exercises, IFS, Guided Imagery, and Attachment Repair to help you gently process what happened in a way that feels safe and manageable.
We always work at your pace. Your nervous system's sense of safety is paramount. The goal is not to relive the past, but to help your system complete what was left unfinished, so you can move forward with greater freedom, connection, and peace.
